1. If they can connect to it, they can find out the ip address. I assume you’re using dns,    (e.g., someircserver.com), all they have to do is do a dig/nslookup/‘/dns (in mIRC)’    and they know the ip address. i.e., this is not an ircd/bahamut issue.
2. By not placing (or removing) the ‘show_links’ setting from your ircd.conf file, this    changes the way the /links command works (irc operators are not affected), so that    when a user issues the ‘/links’ command, the server gives them an empty list.
If you are using IRC services on your server/network and it either has a ‘raw’ command    in OperServ or RootServ or you are competent in modifying your IRC services code,    bahamut has a little feature called linkscontrol which allows you to create your own ‘/links’    list. Again, IRC Operators are not affected and will see the “normal” ‘/links’ list along with    super/U:lined servers being present.
If you want to find out more about linkscontrol, have a look in the hide.c file in the bahamut    source code, the specific function you’ll want to look at is ‘m_linkscontrol’.
If you have any further questions, in addition to this mailing list, there is also the #bahamut    channel on DALnet. The channel is quiet from time to time, but I usually respond to    questions, et al. when I am active.

Hi all!
Is it possible in Bahamut IRCd to hide the Server IP from the users and to disable the /links command ?
1. Server IP has to be secret due to continuous ddos attacks 2. By disabling /links command the attacker does not know which servers are hubs
Thanks in advance!
