Peering instability betwen Dalnet and Florida Lambda Rail at NOTA in Miami

We have noted several instances of interruptions in BGP peering betewen Dalnet and Florida Lambda Rail at the NAP of The Americas in Miami. Each time we monitored a loss of peering we attempted to contact Dalnet at the listed contact address on your PeeringDB page: http://www.peeringdb.com/view.php?asn=31800 . We have received no answers to any of our queries about the outages. Is there any information available on the series of peering glitches between our organizations over the past several weeks? Dear Bruce; You are at the right address for DALNet communication. I didn't understand the your problem; Are you using eBGP? Please read: "eBGP customer-routes for peers to receive only routes from direct customers of the ISP. (You can configure some members with default-originate to receive the default route in addition to the customer routes." Did you notice the date on his e-mail message said it was also sent April 30, and it appeared as if "momotaro.dal.net" was to blame. A cursory glance of WHOIS and the list of allocated AS numbers shows, although 31800 is in a range under ARIN's administration , as31800 is also currently an AS number that is shown as NOT ALLOCATED, so since 31800... is not a valid and proper AS number for any peering session over BGP, anyways... I think there must be some discrepancy in the details that were shewn. ftp://ftp.arin.net/info/asn.txt -- Best regards, -James Hess (Mysidia @ IRC) Network Security Engineer, Perl/C Programmer, Linux Geek, VMware VCP on vSphere 5
